HUDSON VALLEY HOME MATTERS
Part of a national "aging in place" movement, Hudson Valley Home Matters (HVHM) is a non-profit organization founded by area residents to give those 50 and older the practical means to continue livng active independent lives in their own homes.

HVHM is a member-driven organization. Under the leadership of a professional director, members serve on the board, volunteer, and shape the future direction of services and programs.

HVHM has the support of the Dutchess County Office for the Aging, and is developing strategic alliances with area academic, health, cultural and social service organizations.

VISION STATEMENT

Hudson Valley Home Matters envisions local communities where older people will have the opportunity to continue to live their lives to the fullest in their own homes. We are one of a growing number of organizations that enables its members to stay connected in their own communities by providing quality support and services when they need them.

 

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide members the practical means to continue living in their own homes by enhancing access to pre. screened services, developing new services, and responding to their needs and interests. Our guiding principles include respect for, and recognition of, the value of older people as individuals, and as members of their communities, through an organization that facilitates and supports their wish to remain independent.
